There are several types of yeast:

• Nutritional yeast. This inactive form yeast. POSITIVELY EFFECTS MICROFLORA.

• Baking yeast. This are active form of yeast used to make bread and other baked goods. NEGATIVELY EFFECTS MICROFLORA. PROMOTES THE GROWTH OF YEAST.

The biggest difference between brewer's and nutritional yeast is their nutritional value and activity that promotes the growth of yeast - e.g. candida. Nutritional yeast is far superior to brewer's yeast because it contains far more B vitamins, does not promote yeast growth, and instead supports a healthy microbiome. 

Ingredients: nutritional yeast (inactivated Saccharomyces cerevisiae) flakes, natural flavoring, salt.

Usage: can be taken alone or sprinkled on food or in drinks for added nutrition and garlic-Parmesan flavor. A typical portion is 10-15 g.
