Stress can reduce magnesium levels, which can lead to increased blood pressure and further accelerate the production of stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol.

Magnesium is part of chlorophyll, the plant pigment responsible for absorbing solar energy. Without magnesium, there would be no chlorophyll, and without chlorophyll, there would be no life on Earth. After all, green plants are the food and energy source for all other organisms on the planet.

The main symptoms usually include headaches, dizziness, poor concentration, fatigue, drowsiness or insomnia, increased sensitivity, irritability, muscle spasms, cramps, and rapid heartbeat.

Magnesium is considered a beauty element. Its deficiency can lead to fluid retention in the body, which in turn affects the skin's condition. When magnesium is lacking, symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) also intensify.

Magnesium is essential for normal menstruation, ovulation, fertility, and pregnancy. Therefore, insufficient intake can disrupt the menstrual cycle, reduce the chances of conception, and make a woman appear exhausted, pale, and swollen.

The need for magnesium increases during pregnancy, lactation, and menopause.

During this period, include dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, and Swiss chard in your diet. You can also eat broccoli, pumpkin, soaked nuts (soaking in water activates the nuts' nutrients and improves absorption, especially almonds), beans, and cocoa powder (preferably unroasted raw cocoa).

Incorporate wild berries such as cranberries, lingonberries, and sea buckthorn into your diet – they are rich in vitamin C, minerals, vitamins, and substances that heal the urinary system and reduce inflammation in the body. This is very important not only in winter but all year round to stay healthy.

 Let's prepare a smoothie:

 1 glass of cranberries

  • 1-2 apples (Antonovka apples are especially valuable)
  • 1 banana
  • 70-100 g. spinach
  • 3-4 cm ginger root
  • 4-5 cm turmeric root
  • 0.5 tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon

Put all ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth.

You can drink this smoothie in the morning, afternoon, or even late afternoon.

It would be very beneficial to incorporate magnesium-rich foods into your regular diet.

To your health 😊
