Kale is among the main group of plants with the most chlorophyll and nutrients. It is best used for: smoothies, salads. Kale is rich in proteins, various vitamins (B1, B2, B6, C, PP, K, E), folic acid, and contains 80% more carotene (provitamin A) than its white cabbage relatives. Kale is also rich in phytoncides, various enzymes, mineral salts, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, sulfur, iodine, iron. It is a very beneficial vegetable.
KALE SMOOTHIE
1 apple
1 pear
1/4 cup cranberries
1/4 lime
1 banana
3-4 kale leaves (stems removed)
You can sweeten it with: 1 tsp honey or a couple of dates.
Place ingredients in a blender. Pour water until covered. Blend.
