ESTROGEN – the hormone of femininity and beauty.
Estrogen is the best-known female sex hormone produced in the ovaries. It literally creates a woman. Indeed, it is thanks to this magical hormone that the figure acquires lovely feminine curves, and the character gains flexibility, gentleness, and emotionality.
The appearance of representatives of the fairer sex also depends on the amount of estrogen in the body. A lack of collagen causes collagen fibers to break down, which leads to wrinkles.
The female hormone accelerates cell regeneration, preserves youthful skin, shiny and radiant hair, and protects blood vessels from cholesterol deposits.
In turn, a lack of this substance causes vaginal dryness, which leads to pain, burning, or spotting during sexual intercourse.
Three to five years after menopause, a lack of this hormone can lead to bone thinning (osteoporosis) and, consequently, bone fractures.
By the way, a lack of estrogen in women's bodies after the age of 45 is one of the causes of vascular atherosclerosis, which increases the risk of angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, and stroke.
Another insidious symptom of this hormone deficiency is increased hair growth where you definitely don't want it, i.e., on the arms, legs, and face.
An excess of somatotropin in childhood and adolescence promotes growth; in adults, it can enlarge the nose, chin, and joints.
Due to the natural abundance of somatotropic hormone during pregnancy, facial features, feet, and hands slightly enlarge, but after childbirth, all changes disappear on their own.
TESTOSTERONE – the hormone of strength and sexuality.
This female hormone is produced in the adrenal glands. A small amount is sufficient for normal health. It is precisely what makes us feel sexual desire and makes us persistent and purposeful.
An excess of testosterone in a woman's body leads to slightly greater muscle growth, the character acquires traits of quick temper and aggressiveness, the skin becomes coarser and oilier, and acne appears.
A lack of testosterone only affects sexual desire; libido and interest in knowing your fire decrease.
THYROXINE – the hormone of figure and mind.
Thyroxine is synthesized in the thyroid gland and regulates the speed of metabolism and thought, thus fully and completely affecting our weight and thought processes.
The right amount of thyroxine gives the body harmony, the skin smoothness, and movements become agile and graceful.
An excess of the hormone contributes to weight loss and an abnormal level, where a woman loses her natural forms. In addition, heart palpitations increase, insomnia torments, constant anxiety persecutes, and an inability to concentrate.
INSULIN – the hormone of sweet life.
Insulin is produced by the pancreas and simultaneously "monitors" blood glucose levels. It is the one that breaks down all the carbohydrates we eat, including sweets, and sends the glucose (energy source) derived from them to the tissues. Some people produce less insulin from birth, or it is not as active as in others.
When more flour and sweets enter the body than insulin can process, the excess glucose begins to negatively affect cells and blood vessels. This is how diabetes develops.
NORADRENALINE – the hormone of courage and fury.
It is not constantly present in the body; it is produced in the adrenal glands during stress. You have certainly heard of the so-called fear hormone, which prompts you to seek salvation in moments of danger.
Norepinephrine has the opposite effect: it dilates blood vessels, blood rushes to the head, which sometimes contributes to the emergence of brilliant ideas, the face is flushed with bright blush, wrinkles are smoothed, eyes sparkle, and a woman looks like a terrible and beautiful goddess, successfully solving all problems and at the same time looking great and sleeping soundly at night.
Oxytocin is the hormone of care.
This hormone is produced by the adrenal glands. In large quantities, oxytocin enters the bloodstream after childbirth during uterine contractions, causing much love and tenderness.
A woman's body reacts to any stress by releasing oxytocin, so we seek relief from longing and anxiety, intensely care for our husband and children, take care of an old lonely neighbor, or adopt a homeless kitten.
A lack of oxytocin causes constant irritability and sometimes frequent depression.
